ABOUTI'm a director, designer, producer, and actor splitting time between Chicago and Ann Arbor, MI. I specialize in theater in unconventional spaces and surprising perfomer-audience dynamics. I studied directing at Hampshire College and the National Theater Institute's Advanced Directing Semester. I have founded/cofounded three theater companies; a small community theater in a barn, a touring commedia dell'arte-based street theater troupe, and most recently the leastaways, a touring group that creates original work and performs it in living rooms across the country. Recent directing credits include Fabula Rasa (Ellipsis Theatre), Inherit the Wind (Community Ensemble Theatre), and West of Elsewhere (the leastaways). As a designer I specialize in sets, though I design costumes and masks as well.
